VA Aid & Attendance Program for Veterans
NOLA @ Home Care is proud to be an authorized Veterans Administration vendor. We help veterans access their pension benefits for assistance with living at home, disability, mobility issues, companion care and other in-home care help. Most importantly, this program allows veterans to keep their independence and live in their own homes.
Millions of veterans around the country can qualify for the VA Aid and Attendance Program, but most are unaware of this benefit. If you served our country and now need assistance, our staff has a strong working knowledge of the VA assessment process and care program. As an approved vendor, we have an established direct billing system which eliminates the needs for any out-of-pocket costs for the clients.
When you are prepared to submit an application for veterans’ benefits, get in touch with Nola @ Home Care. We have a relationship with local VA offices, and we can help you reach them. They will give you all the materials you need to apply for benefits. If you qualify, Nola @ Home Care will be happy to set up an assessment with you.
We can direct bill the VA for the approved amount of time and duration of care. However, in many instances a client will need more care hours per week than the allotted amount from the VA. In these instances, we can supplement the approved hours with private pay hours at a discounted rate depending on the volume of care.
What Can the Benefit Pay For?
The VA Aid & Attendance Program can pay for things like:
- Standard in-home senior care services
- Assistance with activities of daily living, such as toileting, bathing, meal preparation, transportation, and housekeeping
- In-home care for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and other dementia-related conditions
