New Orleans Hospice Care: Offering Comfort and Dignity at the End of Life's Journey

Hospice care offers specialized support and comfort to patients in the final stages of life, after they have discontinued curative treatments. NOLA Home Care aims to collaborate with your chosen Hospice Care provider to develop a compassionate care plan. A significant advantage of hospice care is that medical professionals, including nurses, visit patients in their homes, eliminating the need for them to travel to a medical facility. Our skilled care professionals are dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care during this critical time.

What is the difference between Hospice and Palliative Care?

Both Hospice and Palliative Care are designed to provide comfort to the patient. Palliative Care will support the patient in pain management and emotional/spiritual support. Palliative Care begins at the time of diagnosis and while you and your medical team are actively treating the illness. Hospice Care generally begins when treatment of the illness has discontinued.

“According to recent studies, 7 in 10 Americans wish to be cared for at home at the end of life. When that time comes, NOLA Home Care can help improve the transition by providing skilled care professionals who will ensure dignity, kindness, and comfort during this stage of life.”
